Week 1: Journey to Africa

Take & Make Craft

Monday, July 5 – Library closed for Independence Day

Monday, July 5 – Story Walk available starting at 9 am for a full week, 24/7. Start in front of the library at the historic marker and follow the signs. This week our story is “What If You Had an Animal Tail” by Sandra Markle. All ages.

Tuesday, July 6 – Take & Make Craft kits available for pickup starting at 3 pm. This week our craft is a pair of African safari paper plate puppets (two of the four following animal: elephant, giraffe, hippopotamus, or zebra). Ages preschool to age 10; youngest crafters may need adult assistance.

Tuesday, July 6 – STEAM kits available for pickup starting at 3 pm. Ages 10-16; younger creators may need adult assistance.

Tuesday, July 6 – In-person Story Time at 3 pm (normally Monday afternoons at 4). We’ll read a couple animal-themed stories aloud for kids. Ages birth-5.

Tuesday, July 6 – In-person Craft & STEAM Time from 4-5 pm. Drop in for self-directed craft or or STEAM project assembly alone or with family and friends. The library will provide the projects (while supplies last) along with the necessary tools like scissors, glue, markers, or crayons. Ages 5-16.

The library will provide the projects (while supplies last) along with the necessary tools like scissors, glue, markers, or crayons. Ages 5-16.

Monday, July 12 – Take & Make Craft kits available for pickup starting at 3 pm. This week our craft is a pair of clothespin magnet Asian animals (two of the following four animals: camel, panda, leopard, or monkey). Ages preschool to age 10; youngest crafters may need adult assistance.
